Totters is situated in the heart of the historic castle town of Caernarfon. Sheltered by the castle wall, it is only 30 metres from the shores of the Menai Straits and enjoys some fantastic sunsets. The town not only offers the visitor a huge selection of pubs and restaurants to choose from, but also acts as the perfect base for trips into the Snowdonia National Park. There is very good public transport in and out of the National Park. The hostel is a 200-year-old, five floored town house, which is fully heated with all the comforts of home. Facilities include a common room with TV and games, book exchange, dining room and a secure left luggage facility. There are five bedrooms which sleep either 4 or 6 and can be arranged as mixed or single sex dorms. The Penthouse room, a huge double en suite room with views over the Straits, can be a double or a family room. Across the road there is a self-catering town house which sleeps 6. Of course the first thing you may wish to delve into would be the castle and walls themselves. A designated world heritage site practically outside the door.
