Seahouses on the North Northumbrian Coast

Seahouses Hostel is ideally suited to accommodate groups of all sizes in a mix of dormitories and en-suite rooms. It provides a spacious, bright, comfortable and relaxing environment with extensive facilities including two comfortable living rooms, a charming dining room and a fully equipped kitchen with ample shower and toilet facilities and central heating throughout. Free wifi and a range of activities including games, toys and books are available for younger guests, as well as outdoor games equipment and a play area to enjoy in our lovely, spacious and enclosed garden.

North Northumberland has a coastal region that is second to none for natural beauty and places of historical interest. Many day trips are easily accessible from the hostel, such as the pretty coastal fishing village of Seahouses and the beautiful Farne Islands, which is only a boat ride away from Seahouses harbour, where you can see the large grey seal colony and bird sanctuary. Alternatively, you can walk a little further along the glorious sandy beaches and visit the historic Bamburgh Castle or the Grace Darling Museum not forgetting to visit the rock pools on your way.

There is always time for ice cream, but leave room for fish and chips by the harbour. After such a busy day you will be eager to return to the comfort of the hostel. Tomorrow, maybe a trip to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne - make sure you check the tide times!
