Escape to Tiree for a holiday to remember
March 27th 2024
On the Isle of Tiree summer days are long and the evenings balmy. The Byre at Millhouse offers great value hostel style accommodation. Book a bed, a private room or the whole place for your group (sleeps 16 in 4 bed rooms).
The Isle of Tiree, protected by the Gulf Stream has a mild climate and one of the highest records for sunshine in the UK. Summers day are long and the evenings balmy. There is rarely a frost in winter. The Island is surrounded by clear, turquoise seas with a multitude of stunning white beaches all easily reached by bike. The island abounds with wildlife from the Brown Hares which graze un- alarmed on the roadside, to plentiful bird life. Grey seals, sea otters, dolphins and basking sharks (not the type that bite) can all be spotted from the shores of Tiree. The Byre at Millhouse on the North Coast of the island is close to the main beach breaks and next to Loch Bhasapol, home of Wild Diamond Watersports.
