Camping barn in Kentmere in the Lakes National Park

Kentmere is a quiet, unspoilt valley within the Lake District National Park. It's a ramblers' paradise with woods, fields, lanes, a scattering of traditional Lakeland farms and dwellings and of course the fells with their walks so favoured by Wainwright. The Lakeland to Lindisfarne long distance path passes this way as well as the mountain bikers' and horse riders' Coast to Coast. Kentmere offers plenty of activities which include biking, riding and fishing, but most of all quiet enjoyment. A pleasant day can be spent in Kendal and Lake Windermere which are only 20 minutes away. Maggs Howe provides B&B in 3 rooms of the farmhouse. The camping barn has two sleeping areas, kitchen, two showers and toilets. Bring a sleeping bag for the camping barn, there are bunk beds for 10 and extra mattresses are provided. Pillows with clean covers are provided. Breakfasts are available at the farmhouse with notice. Dogs accepted with prior permission.
