The John Hunt Base at Hagg Farm, situated between Ladybower and Glossop in the High Peak, offers comfortable bunkhouse style accommodation for groups and families of up to 18. Larger groups can be accommodated at Hagg Farm (also in this guide) which sleeps 44.

The John Hunt Base is well located for hillwalking, mountain and road biking, trail running, photography and sightseeing and is available on a self-catered, sole occupancy basis. Facilities include a lounge/dining room with TV, well-equipped kitchen and recently refurbished bathrooms. Sleeping accommodation consists of bunk and single beds split between four bedrooms. The whole building is wheelchair accessible.

In the grounds are plenty of picnic tables, a large fire pit and a playing field with climbing boulder. Adventure activities can be arranged for small groups and are led by experienced, highly qualified instructors. Activities available include climbing, zip wire, bushcraft and guided hill or mountain walks.
