September is a wonderful month, beauty abounds at Haye Farm. The heat of the Summer has become balmy warmth, ripening the orchard fruits. Your mid-week break awaits!
When you’re visiting this month you can sit and watch the fish basking in the sunshine. Eat fruit as fresh as it can be knowing we don’t use sprays here at Haye. Watch the sheep and cattle peacefully grazing. Snooze in the shade or bask in the sun. Enjoy a spot of shopping or dining in delightful Bewdley, and watch the river flow peacefully by.
Hiding in the meadow at Haye Farm, holder of a bronze Green Tourism award
July 11th 2019
Around Haye Farm Sleeping Barn are hay meadows, and hiding amongst the grasses are traditional meadow flowers, providing food for pollinators and a biodiverse habitat for many other creatures.
Harvesting the grass for Winter is timed to perfection. The meadow is cut in prime condition, tedded to dry the grasses and allow seeds from wildflowers and grasses to fall to earth ready to grow again. This year hiding amongst the meadow flowers is this beautiful pink orchid. We at Haye take great care of the soil, the fruits, the animals and the environment to create something natural and beautiful – come and share it with us.
