Country hostel welcoming individuals and groups

Àite Cruinnichidh, 15 miles northeast of Fort William, occupies a unique sheltered spot adjacent to the Monessie Gorge where you can explore remote glens, mountain passes and lochs.

There are numerous walks easily accessible from the hostel and seven magnificent canoeing rivers within 20 miles. The location is ideal for climbing (rock and ice), mountain biking, skiing or just relaxing.

A warm, peaceful, friendly, country hostel in a converted barn, Àite Cruinnichidh sleeps 28 in eight rooms with all bedding supplied in simple accommodation. The hostel has a fully equipped kitchen/dining room, sitting room, excellent showers, sauna suite and garden. There is a good selection of maps, board games, magazines, books and a small reading room. No TV and, although the hostel has WiFi, guests are encouraged to socialise and enjoy the natural environment that the hostel has to offer. Advice available on walking/cycling routes.

Groups and individuals welcome. No wheelchair facilities but glad to accommodate people with disabilities.

During October, November, and January we will not be taking bookings for fewer than four people, Sunday to Thursday inclusive. We know this impacts on single guests, and apologise, but it is the first time we have done this in thirty-one years. If we have others booked in during the week we will take single bookings.
